Actor-turned-writer Twinkle Khanna has reflected on her children’s marriages while revealing a conversation she had with her sister Rinke Khanna. In her Times of India column, Twinkle wrote that she talked about the Ambanis’ party and how it raised the bar for celebrations. Talking about the same, Twinkle said that the best thing for her children would be to ‘just run away’ as her husband-actor Akshay Kumar can’t stay up late and he can’t dance like Nita Ambani. Twinkle wonders if daughter Nitara will change surname after marriage
Twinkle wrote, “We both have daughters and we wonder if after marriage they will change, add their names or stick to their already associated surnames. How strange that these questions are being asked about our sons too. Won’t get up. Same” way we are always worried about our girls, not so much about our sons. Keeping the door of the room open when the tuition sir arrives; ensuring that the school bus has a female chaperone; Ensuring that being little girls, they are not alone even with men from large families; And, with all this, trying to strike a delicate balance between teaching them to be cautious and still not be afraid of the world.”
Twinkle wants her children to run away
