Yamaha XSR 155 vs TVS Ronin 225: Design
Both the motorcycles have been designed as neo-retro. However, it’s the Ronin that blends a bit into the Scrambler, with a larger fuel tank, split seats and some design inspiration from the bigger bike. Due to the mixed elements, there is a possibility that Ronin may not be the first choice.
The XSR 155, on the other hand, has elements of a retro motorcycle but with modern elements like LED lighting and a digital instrument cluster.

The XSR 155 has the same engine that we have experienced in the R-15 and MT-15. It is a 155 cc, liquid-cooled unit that produces 18.4 PS at 10,000 rpm and a peak torque output of 14.2 Nm at 7,500 rpm. It has a 6-speed gearbox. Then there is the TVS Ronin, which uses a 225 cc unit that is tuned to make 20.4 PS at 7,750 rpm and 19.93 Nm at 3,750 rpm. It comes with a 5-speed gearbox.

The Ronin measures 2,040 mm in length, is 805 mm wide and is 1,170 mm tall. Its seat height is 795 mm and ground clearance is 181 mm. Its weight is approximately 160 kg.
In comparison, the XSR 155 measures 2,005 mm in length, 805 mm in width and 1,080 mm in height. The seat measures 810 mm and ground clearance is 120 mm. Its weight is only around 136 kg, which is quite light.

XSR 155 starts 1.50 lakh ex-showroom. It is important to note that this is introductory, so prices will be inflated. However, we don’t know when. Ronin, on the other hand, begins goes up to Rs 1.25 lakh 1.59 lakh. Both prices are ex-showroom.
