The company has reduced the price of the base variant of its modern retro bike Ronin by Rs 15,000. The ex-showroom price of this base variant of Ronin now starts at Rs 1.35 lakh.
The TVS Ronin is available in 4 variants – SS, DS, TD and TD Special Edition. Out of the four, only the base SS variant has received a price cut. This price cut makes the Ronin SS even more attractive, especially considering that the next variant in the lineup, the DS, starts at Rs 1.57 lakh.
These bikes compete with each other
If we talk about rivals, TVS Ronin is facing tough competition from Royal Enfield Hunter 350. With the price cut, it is clear that the company wants to make this bike more affordable for the customers so that the sales of Ronin can increase against Hunter 350. With the price revision of , TVS will definitely hope to lure some potential buyers of Hunter 350 to its showrooms.
The engine is powerful
Talking about the TVS Ronin, it gets an air/oil-cooled, 225.9cc, single-cylinder engine that generates 20.4hp at 7,750rpm and 19.93 Nm of torque at 3,750rpm. This motor has a 5-speed gearbox with slip-and-assist clutch. With a 14-litre fuel tank in the bike, the Ronin weighs 160 kg.
Even the base SS variant gets features like a fully digital display, all-LED lighting, adjustable brake and clutch levers, and USD forks.
