Washington/Moscow/Kiev -S’s President Donald Trump said on Saturday that Ukraine should make a deal to end the war with Russia as “Russia is a great power, and they are not”, after hosting a summit with President Vladimir Putin, which failed to achieve a ceasefire.
In a big innings, Trump also said that he agreed with Putin that negotiaters should go directly to a peace agreement – not through a ceasefire, because Ukraine and his European colleagues, so far, are demanding, with American support.
Ukrainian President Volodimier Zelansky said he would visit Washington on Monday, while Kiev’s European colleagues welcomed Trump’s efforts, but vowed to return Ukraine and tighten the restrictions on Russia.
Trump met Putin for nearly three hours in Alaska on Friday, when Moscow began a full -scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
Trump posted on the truth social, “It was determined by all that the best way to end the frightening war between Russia and Ukraine is to go directly to the peace agreement, which would end the war, not just a ceasefire agreement, which is often not time.”
Russia is likely to welcome Trump’s innings
