Why was call recording on iOS expensive?
Truecaller’s call recording feature on the iPhone was quite different from Android devices, the main reason for Apple’s iOS platforms. Like Android, which allows direct integration with call functionality, Truecaller’s method was more complex on the iPhone.
Now while native call recording is available, there is no point in maintaining your expensive solution for Truecaller.
How to save your recording
Truecaller has advised all iPhone users that they are using the call recording feature, so take backup of their existing recordings before the September 30 deadline, because after that all the data will be permanently removed. Users can save their important conversations by following these steps:
– Open the Truecaller app on your iPhone.
– Go to the “Record” tab.
– Tap on “Settings” icon.
– Select “Storage Preference” and turn it into “iCloud Storage”.
– If the icloud storage option looks disabled, then you have to manually enable it. For this, turn on your iPhone’s Settings> Your Name> ICLUD> Saved to iCloud> TrueCaller.
To download a particular recording, go back to the “Record” tab and swipe the left on the recording that you want to save.
– Tap on the “Share or Export” option, and the app will give you an option to save the recording, such as local storage or other cloud services.
