1) Anna Rajam Malhotra
Anna Rajam Malhotra took the bold decision to pursue a career as an IAS officer at a time when the field was predominantly dominated by men, she faced many challenges along the way. Hailing from Kerala, she was a 1951 batch officer and has the distinction of being India’s first woman IAS officer. Married to RN Malhotra, who served as the 17th Governor of the Reserve Bank of India, Anna Rajam Malhotra’s illustrious career was marked by dedicated service and outstanding achievements. Recognizing his contribution, he was awarded the prestigious Padma Bhushan award.
2) Rajni Sekhri Sibal
IAS Rajni Sekhri Sibal, a member of the 1986 batch, has served in various positions including Additional Secretary, Department of Disaster Management in the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. Known for handling crises efficiently, she played a key role in reducing losses during natural disasters such as floods and cyclones in Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Puducherry and Tamil Nadu.
3) Smita Sabharwal
Smita Sabharwal, a 2001 batch IAS officer belonging to Telangana cadre, is recognized as one of the most efficient and dynamic women officers of the country. Known for her proactive approach to understanding and resolving public issues, she is known as a dedicated public servant. Notably, she has the distinction of being the first woman IAS officer appointed to the Chief Minister’s Office.
4) Durga Shakti Nagpal
IAS Durga Shakti Nagpal of 2009 batch achieved the remarkable feat of securing 20th rank in the UPSC exam. Currently serving as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to the Indian Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, he has made significant contributions in various capacities. During his tenure as a trainee IAS officer in the Punjab cadre, he played a key role in exposing a land fraud case in Mohali.
5) Tina Dabi
2015 batch IAS Tina Dabi has secured the top rank in the UPSC exam, marking an important milestone in her career. Notably, her ex-husband, Dr. Pradeep Gawande is also an IAS officer, and her sister, Rhea Dabi also belongs to the same profession. Coming from a family with a civil services background, Tina Dabi has carved a niche for herself and gained immense popularity, especially on social media platforms.
6) Srishti Jayant Deshmukh
Madhya Pradesh resident and 2018 batch IAS Srishti Jayant Deshmukh achieved remarkable success by securing 5th rank in the UPSC exam. Her husband Nagarjuna Gowda is also an IAS officer and together, they make a popular couple on social media. Srishti Jayant Deshmukh is dedicated to improving the quality of life of rural communities, and has played a key role in launching the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana. His efforts are aimed at bringing positive change in the lives of rural citizens.
7) Pari Bishnoi
IAS Pari Bishnoi cleared the UPSC exam in her third attempt in 2019. He has a bachelor’s degree from Delhi University and has also qualified for NET JRF. Furthermore, Pari Bishnoi holds a master’s degree in Political Science from MDS University, Ajmer. Earlier, her wedding with MLA Bhavya Bishnoi had attracted a lot of attention, with pictures from the grand ceremony going viral.
