Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali visited the capital on Friday, who was the first book for his childhood friend-writer, Satyarth Mishra, to launch The Haples Vyzer. “I still remember the taste of parantha and pickle that Satyartha’s mother used to feed us. Then Satyarth never showed me kindness to share his lunchbox,” he said, “We had a definite upbringing. Our parents taught us to respect others and at least for ourselves.
The 54 -year -old, whose films are loved, Aj Kaal (2009), Rockstar (2011), Highway (2014), Tamasha (2015), Love Aaj Kaal (2020) have been shot in Delhi, also said that his hometown Patna is not a glamorous city. “We feel them that they should not be proud of themselves to belong to Patna, on the contrary how someone is proud of Lucknow and its culture.”

Imtiaz’s films are mostly human plays and travelogues that are stitched in a non-renowned manner. “Thoughts do not come in a linear fashion. I could think something when I was in the 8th standard and I could think of something tomorrow or today after each other. I would not think of anything in the sequence,” he said.
Author Satyartha said, “We were going to Ajmer and he was constantly writing on his laptop and the highway was born in this way. I do not think there is another director who shows men’s vulnerability like Imtiaz.”
