New Delhi. April 2025 was quite challenging for the country’s largest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki. The company’s month on month (MOM) sale saw a decline by 8 %. However, the company saw a growth of 1 % in the year on year (YOY) cell. As you know, Maruti’s most cars in India are sold. So let’s see which of Maruti’s cars sold the most last year.
Desire: Its sales were 16,996 units compared to 15,460 units in March, which shows a growth of 10%. In April 2024, Dzire recorded 15,825 units, showing that it had more than 7% growth. It is the company’s safety car. Recently it has also got 5 stars in a crash test.
Maruti Brezza: The most popular compact SUV, Brezza finished second with 16,971 units compared to 16,546 units of March. With a growth of 3% month-by-month, the SUV saw a slight decline of 1% year after year.
Maruti Ertiga: Ertiga finished third with a decline of nearly 6%. Its 15,780 units were recorded in April compared to 16,804 units of March, but a huge growth of 17% was observed from year to year as it had 13,544 units in the same period last year.
Maruti Swift: Sporty hatchback’s latest generation was launched last year, and Swift saw an unprecedented growth of 256% year after year. Last month, it sold 14,592 units compared to last year’s 4,094 units. More realistic growth will be that it saw a decline of 17% last month as compared to March 2025.
Maruti Fronx: Crossover at number 5 in the list, Fronks made it to the 5th, which sold 14,345 units in April 2025. Month-by-month, Fronks saw a growth of about 5% as it sold 13,669 units. A slight growth of less than 0.5% was observed in the year-on-year data.
