For DonnaJean Wilde, planking is something she does in her day just like anything else. She does planks while reading, watching TV or simply glancing at her mobile phone. A 59-year-old woman from Alberta, Canada recently broke the women’s Guinness World Record for staying in the abdominal plank position for the longest time, which is a commendable feat!
According to the Guinness World Records site, he planked for 4 hours, 30 minutes and 11 seconds, which is slightly more than 10 minutes longer than the previous record set by another Canadian, Dana Glowacka, in 2019.
DonnaJean, who has been planking for 10 years, may set an example or two for all those hoping to take up a form of fitness, according to earlier reports, winning praise for the challenging exercise, but Haven’t started it yet.
The much-anticipated plank record event took place at the high school where she was vice principal before retiring. And according to the Guinness World Records website, she described how her “elbows hurt very badly” after completing her record-breaking plank.
There’s every reason to make planks a part of your exercise regimen. A plank that strengthens the core and abdominals and improves posture. It’s also not the easiest exercise, with many people only being able to hold a plank for a few minutes.
