Actually, Malay Dam is located in Satbarwa block near Ranchi to Palamu Highway NH 75. It is a beautiful dam surrounded by seven mountains. People are offered boating here. The beauty of this dam, located 30 km from Palamu district headquarters, is worth seeing. It is the most special place for nature lovers in a calm and secluded environment under the open sky.

You can go boating for Rs 50
Boatman Surendra Singh told Local 18 that he has been running boats here for the last three years. Tourists come here from far and wide. People from Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh come here to see the beauty of the dam and enjoy boating. He said that the maximum crowd of tourists is seen from October to March.

He further said that there are dozens of paddle and motor boats here. There are motor and paddle boats ranging from 4 seater to 8 seater. Most people like to travel on motor boats. The rate of which is Rs 100 per person. The price of paddle boat is Rs 50 per person. People are taken for a ride in motor boat for 10 to 15 minutes. People are taken for a ride in paddle boat for 20 to 25 minutes. Life jackets are also given to tourists for safety.

This dam attracts tourists
Sunil Kumar, who came to visit from Barwadih, told that he came to know about it a few months ago. After which he came here to visit with his friends. This place is really worth visiting and seeing. The best thing is to enjoy boating here. Such fun is only available here in Palamu. He liked this place very much. He would like to come here again. He said that he came to know from people that when the water of the dam is up to the top, the view of overflow is seen. Which is seen during the rainy season. He told that people are taken for a ride to the island by boat. Which is liked a lot.
