Ford Mustang Mach-E: American automobile giant, Ford Motors had said goodbye to the Indian automobile market in 2021 due to low sales in the Indian market. However, it is being speculated that Ford Motors is planning to make a comeback in India. Because the company had recently applied for a design patent for the next generation Endeavour. Now, Ford has trademarked the Mustang Mach-E nameplate in India. Which indicates that the company can re-enter the Indian market.
Additionally, despite receiving offers from carmakers like Vinfast, MG and Tata Motors, Ford has postponed the sale of its Chennai plant and the company is reconsidering it. The company has also listed new jobs, which has given rise to speculations about its re-entry into the market. However, Ford has not made any official announcement in this matter.

Expected to come to India as CBU
Regarding the Ford Mustang Mach-E, it is expected that it can be brought to India as a Completely Built Unit (CBU) under the import rule. Which allows up to 2,500 units without homologation. After its launch in India, its price can be kept around Rs 1 crore (ex-showroom).
In international markets, the Mach-E is available in RWD or AWD configurations with standard and long range options. The entry level RWD Mach-E comes with a 72kWh battery that generates 269hp of power and 430Nm of torque and offers a range of 470km. Whereas, the range extender variant comes with a 91kWh battery and generates 294hp power and 430Nm torque and offers a range of 600km.
Whereas, the AWD version with 91kWh range extender generates 351hp power and 580Nm torque and has a range of 548km. Finally, if we talk about the top GT AWD variant, it comes with a 91kWh battery and it generates 487hp power and 850Nm torque. Also it offers a range of 489km.
