New Delhi. Skoda Auto India has quietly made changes to the variant line-up of its flagship Skoda Kodiaq SUV. The three-row SUV was earlier available in three trims – Style, Sportline and L&K and will now be offered only with the top-spec L&K version. Along with this, the company has also changed the prices of SUVs.
Earlier, the top-spec L&K variant was priced at Rs 41.99 lakh and now its price has been reduced by Rs 2 lakh. It is now effectively priced at Rs 39.99 lakh (both prices ex-showroom).
Know the engine and features
Apart from the change in variants and price cut, no changes have been made in the SUV. The Kodiaq is powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder TSI turbo-petrol engine that produces 190hp of power and 320Nm of torque. The engine comes paired with a 7-speed DSG gearbox which supplies power to all four wheels.
Talking about the features, Kodiaq has an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, ambient lighting, three-zone automatic climate control, panoramic sunroof, hands-free parking, front and rear parking sensors, heated. It also has features like cooled front seats, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, a wireless charging pad, 12-speaker Canton sound system and nine airbags. Apart from this, it also gets Dynamic Chassis Control which adjusts the firmness of the dampers depending on the drive mode.
Recently, the company announced that it will soon launch a sub-4 meter SUV. The upcoming model will be based on the MQB-A0-IN platform similar to the Kushaq and Slavia. It will compete with models like Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV300 and Tata Nexon in its segment.
