The show is based on the lives of five Indian-origin social media influencers living in Los Angeles – Alana Pandey, Javed Jaffrey’s daughter Alavia Jaffrey, Srishti Pore, Aryana Gandhi and Alfia Jaffrey. The show promises to be an unfiltered look at the personal and professional lives of influencers, filled with heartfelt moments, high-stakes friendships and glamorous lifestyles. The trailer begins with the introduction of the influencers, with the makers capturing their luxurious lives.
The clip shows the influencers meeting each other in Los Angeles where they are working hard to make a place for themselves. Ananya Panday’s cousin Alana, who was tagged as ‘The Boss Babe’, has been seen confessing that she hopes to start an agency to bring Indian social media influencers to the US . In another segment, she admits that she has lived her life in a bubble when there is so much else in the world.
The trailer is a mix of chaos, drama, emotions, fights and entertainment with influencers diving into the world of content creation in Los Angeles. It is filled with lots of glamorous, fun adventures, emotional breakdowns and growing rivalries. At one point, Alana is seen saying, “We’re not here to be BFFs”, and this hints at the premise of the show.
The show also features angel investor Hardik Zaveri, who is seen guiding him.

For Alana, The Tribe has been a wild ride, and she’s excited to give an unfiltered look at her content creation process. She added, “This is a show that is about realness, authenticity, and celebrating brown girls who are achieving big in Los Angeles — with raw, unfiltered conversations about our lives and aspirations in today’s world. “
To this Alavia said, “I come from a family associated with the film industry, but I always felt that this was not the right path for me. I wanted to do something different and I found my niche as a content creator, which led me to this amazing opportunity.”
Srishti feels that many people have “misconceptions about influencers, many of which are far from reality”. He shared, “I’m thrilled that through The Tribe we have the opportunity to uncover the behind-the-scenes story and showcase the ‘hard work’ that goes into creating digital content.”

The show highlights the journey of five young and glamorous content creators and digital promoters and investors. It will take viewers into the chaotic lives of individuals behind the scenes as they leave their families behind and step out of their comfort zones to relocate to Los Angeles to pursue their dreams.
The nine-episode unscripted series is a Dharmatic Entertainment production, with Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Anisha Baig serving as executive producers. It will stream on Prime Video on October 4.
