The trade is completely on commercial basis and Indian companies will choose the deal that will be the most beneficial for them. Our aim is only one, the energy security of the people of India.”
Describing American action as “unfair and unjust”, Vinay Kumar said that India will take every important step to protect its national interest. Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar also reversed Washington’s criticism. He said, “It is very strange that people who call themselves Pro-Business Administration are accusing others of doing business. If you have trouble buying oil or product from India, do not buy. No one is forcing you.”
