India sees an increase in Kovid -19 cases: India is observing a significant increase in Covid-19 infections in many states, mainly run by sub-lines of the Omikron variants. 1. Kerala
Kerala is the worst affected with 519 active Kovid -19 cases and three deaths stated in the current wave. The state government has mandated the Covid-19 test in all the districts and is closely monitoring the situation.
2. Maharashtra
Maharashtra has reported 210 active cases including 154 new infections. Kalyan-Dumbivali Municipal Corporation confirmed the death of its first Kovid-19 in this wave-a 78-year-old patient who died during treatment. Officers are increasing monitoring and healthcare preparations.
3. Delhi
Delhi’s active Kovid -19 cases have increased to 104 with 99 new infections in the last week. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta assured the residents that the hospitals are fully prepared and there is no reason for nervousness. The government continues to monitor the situation closely.
Delhi Health Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh said on Wednesday, “In very clear words, I would like to say, the word ‘alarming’ does not need to be used here. The situation is not dangerous at all. There is no serious matter and there is no casualty. People are recovering rapidly. No one needs to worry.”
4. Karnataka
Karnataka has recently recorded 36 new cases, with a total of 47 active infections. With a possible spike in the expected Covid cases in Bengaluru and Karnataka, the Medical Education Minister stressed that the situation is under control, but advised schools and the public to be vigilant.
In addition, with zero cases, districts like Raichur are getting ready, if there is a Kovid -19 flair -up.
5. Gujarat
Gujarat has reported 83 active cases, in which the new Omikron sub-linage such as LF.7 has been detected. The state has intensified genomic monitoring to track the emerging variants.
6. Uttar Pradesh
There are 15 active cases in Uttar Pradesh, including a recent 78 -year -old patient in Agra, Kovid -19 death. The officials continued to contact the tracing and urged the public to follow the security protocol.
7. West Bengal
There are 12 active Kovid -19 cases in West Bengal. The state government is encouraging testing and vaccination to prevent further spreading.
8. Tamil Nadu
Tamil Nadu reported 69 active Kovid -19 cases. The state variant is participating in genomic sequencing efforts to monitor the evolution.
9. Punjab
A 25 -year -old man recently tested Kovid -19 positive in Ferozepur, Punjab, inspiring local health officials to increase monitoring.
10. Arunachal Pradesh
Arunachal Pradesh has registered its first Kovid -19 case of the current wave, with immediate contact tracing and precautionary measures.
Additional update on Covid-19 cases
Patna: With four new positive cases, the total Kovid -19 patients have reached 10.
Noida: The number of active cases has increased to 19, with patients between the ages of 24 to 71, all are in home isolation.
Ghaziabad: Out of cases of confirmation of 15, 14 remain active. Most have mild symptoms and are isolated at home. A 4 -month -old baby is hospitalized with a minor chest infection, but is stable. Officers recommend calm and caution.
