The husband has not been detained and the initial police assessment is that her tragic death was accidental, although the investigation is ongoing. Ksenia had recently graduated from the St. Petersburg State University of Veterinary Medicine. She was fond of photography and had started posting wedding photos when she died.
The couple died after returning home following the wedding ceremony and a party at a restaurant in the city. The wedding was attended by close friends and some relatives. Friends of the couple said that both were very happy with the marriage.
