New Delhi, July 17 (PTI) An experienced pilot and aviation advisor suggested that investigators should also focus on a possible mistake in the stabilizer of Flight AI171, which they believe that an unexpected mistake by the pilot may create conditions for the aircraft.
Air India Flight 171, which crashed in moments after flying from Ahmedabad, came from Delhi before his ahead of London Gatwick’s further visit to London Gatwick on 19 and 19 June on June 19 and 19 on the ground. The crew reported a mistake with the stabilizer for engineers in Ahmedabad, who according to the investigation issued on 12 July.
Aviation expert Captain Ehsan Khalid told PTI that investigators should also examine the flight data recorder for stabilizer input data, if it was not properly decided and the conditions were made for the accident during the takeoff rolls of Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner.
The stabilizer is part of the tail of the aircraft and helps pitch your nose up and down on the command from the pilot.
Khalid said that if there is a mistake in the stabilizer during the takeoff roll, the pilot flying has to demonstrate the following memorable routine: take one hand from the control column, reach down and close the Stabilizer Control switch located under the Thrst Lever Assembly.
As it happens, orange switches are right next to the fuel control switch, which have focused on investigation and there are great speculation in the accident.
Khalid suggested that there was a possibility that the first officer, who was flying the aircraft, accidentally stopped fueling both engines, even if the two feel different to touch the switch.
The pilot does not appear anywhere during the takeoff, except that the aircraft is safely climbing, he is not straight forward to ensure, he said.
He said, “I have a problem with Boeing Darshan. This is a pilot flying that needs to be closed to the stabilizer in case of mistake and not other pilots,” he said.
