In the recent interview, Ishtiaq has made a lot of revelations while talking about his struggle. He told that after completing acting studies from the National School of Drama (NSD), he used to teach acting. But just teaching could not run expenses, so he used to plant eggs in the evening.
Surprised to see the student on an egg cart
Recently, in an interview to Hindi Rush, Ishtiaq said, ‘In the evening we used to plant friends eggs. Also used to take contracts for college drama and function. One day a student of mine came on an egg cart. Was surprised to see me. He did not understand what his ‘sir’ is doing here. I was very embarrassed by myself. The next day I did not take class. But the story did not end here. ‘That child again brought his father. He sat on the scooter and said, ‘These are our teachers’. His father saw me, did not say anything. Later my senior explained to me, ‘You are not stealing, then why shame?’ On the same day, it was understood that one should never be ashamed of hard work.
There were no money for tea
Keeping his point further, he told that Ishtiaq’s childhood was spent in a small town, ‘My friends knew I had no money, but no one has ever asked for tea money. My friend’s bicycle, scooter had my own things. He never let me realize that I have nothing. The same atmosphere made me a good person.
Identified with your hard work
Please tell that when he came to Mumbai, he got a big shock. He told that he used to befriend all kinds of people. But in Mumbai, he saw that many people do not even give Muslims or Dalits to the house on rent. This was a big culture shock for me.
