Clint says he remembers the old days when people came with new ideas instead of just remakes and sequels.
Hollywood veteran Clint Eastwood, 95, is still doing what he loves most: making movies. In a conversation with the Austrian newspaper courier, Clint said he does not like how Hollywood has changed. He recalls the old days when people came with new ideas instead of just remakes and sequels.
Eastwood said, “There is no reason that a man cannot be better with age.” He said, “And I have a lot of experience today. Certainly, there are directors who lose their touch at a certain age, but I am not one of them.”
He continued, “I wrote films like Casablanca in small bungalows in the studio for a long time for good old days when everyone had a new idea,” he said. “We live in the era of remakes and franchisees. I have shot a sequel three times, but I am not interested in it for a long time. My philosophy is: do something new or stay at home.”
Clint also said that he likes to learn new things, and this is what he continues. He said, “As an actor, I was still subject to a contract with a studio, the old system, and thus forced to learn something new every year. And that’s why I will work until I can still learn something, or as long as I am really senil.”
Clint Eastwood’s movie career goes back. He started in the 1950s, but it was the 1960s that made him a star – especially in Western countries. Good, bad and ugly remember? He was a client. dirty Harry? He was also that too. And later, he surprised everyone by becoming a great director – to win the Oscar for an unexpected and million dollar child.
