Team USA’s Simone Biles, Suni Lee and others won the all-around gold at the 2024 Paris Olympics in Swarovski crystal-covered leotards.
Team USA’s Simone Biles, Suni Lee, Jade Carey, Jordan Chiles and Hazley Rivera recently won gold in the women’s gymnastics team all-around. The team made a grand return to the 2024 Paris Olympics as they brought athletic excellence as well as glamour, wearing leotards covered in glittering Swarovski crystals. Team USA wore outfits covered in 47,000 Swarovski crystals and Swarovski crystal beads
Simone Biles led Team USA to gold and made another significant mark for herself as she won her eighth medal, becoming the most decorated Olympic gymnast in U.S. history. The team achieved all of these accomplishments in style while wearing white, blue and red leotards representing their country. Designed by Pennsylvania-based gymnast apparel brand GK Elite, Swarovski embellished each piece with over 47,000 Swarovski crystals and Swarovski crystal beads.
Named ‘Go for Glory’, the white leotard featured red and white stripes on one sleeve and most of the bodice. The other sleeve was covered in navy blue fabric and covered in stars. Swarovski crystals and crystal beads added a sparkling touch to the outfit.
The Inspiration Behind Team USA’s Leotards
According to GK Elite, the leotard was “designed with the idea of that triumphant moment when an Olympic athlete is draped in the American flag.” Additionally, the 2024 leotard pays tribute to the 1996 gymnastics team, which was the first US women’s national team to fulfill their Olympic dream of winning gold.
