Tata Punch facelift will have some major cosmetic changes. Features will also be added to it but there will be no mechanical changes.
Tata Motors has confirmed that it will launch the new version of the Punch on January 13. The teaser shows the new design of the updated micro SUV. We are expecting that some features will also be added to it, but there will be no mechanical changes.
First, there are the newly redesigned LED daytime running lamps, which are now sleeker, and this is complemented by a new set of LED headlamps, whose design is similar to that of the Harrier and Nexon. There are also foglamps on offer, which should also be used as cornering lamps. The new design language should help tie the design language of the Punch in line with other SUVs being sold by the brand.
With the update, Tata Motors has also redesigned the front bumper and air dam. Then, at the rear, there are new LED tail lamps which are much sleeker and are now connected via a lightbar. We also see a rear wiper with a washer at the back. There is a new set of alloy wheels on the sides.
In the cabin, the Punch facelift is expected to closely mirror the interior design of the Punch EV. It is expected to feature the new two-spoke steering wheel which has been seen in recent models from Tata.
In the higher-end variants, the existing instrument cluster is likely to be replaced with a 10.25-inch fully digital display. Additionally, the existing 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system is expected to be replaced by a larger 10.25-inch unit in the top-tier trims. Updates to the air conditioning control module are also expected.

It is noteworthy that the test mules have been seen with radar sensors installed in the front bumper. This indicates that Tata Motors may include ADAS features in the Punch facelift. Additionally, a 360-degree camera is also expected to be included in the features list.
There will be no mechanical change. So, the Punch facelift is expected to come with a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder engine that produces 86 hp and 113 Nm. Transmission options will include 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT. The CNG variant will also continue to be offered.
