Normal life was affected in the National Capital Region (NCR) due to heavy rains on Wednesday evening, causing traffic jams in some parts of Gurgaon and Delhi.
A Gurugram News report showed that a white SUV taxi lost control in the floodwaters in Gurgaon with the driver stuck inside.

At least three pedestrians were electrocuted near the Iffco Chowk metro station in Gurgaon on Thursday after they came in contact with a power supply wire when an uprooted tree fell on them during heavy rains on Wednesday night, police said.
The basements of many residential societies, where cars were parked, were flooded.
The areas affected by rain in Gurgaon were Narsinghpur Chowk, Hero Honda Chowk, Rajiv Chowk, Vatika Chowk, IFFCO Chowk, Dwarka Expressway, Golf Course Extension Road, Southern Peripheral Road, Udyog Vihar, Sohna Road, Basai, Khandsa Road and Pataudi Road.
Two people died due to waterlogging caused by rain in Delhi.

Schools closed in Delhi due to rain
Officials said that schools have been closed in the national capital on Thursday due to the possibility of more rain. Delhi has been put on ‘red’ alert. Due to heavy rains, many areas including Kashmiri Gate and Rajendra Nagar, the heart of Delhi, have been submerged.
The weather department has advised people to stay indoors, keep windows and doors closed and avoid unnecessary travel.

Traffic jam in Noida too
There were also reports of traffic disruption in Noida due to the heavy rains on Wednesday evening.
