But as soon as these balloons fell in the Presidential Palace, South Korean officials were shocked. For some time they did not know what had happened. They were afraid of something else, but later they came to know that North Korea had sent balloons filled with garbage.
South Korea’s military said North Korea sent more balloons filled with garbage towards Seoul on Wednesday. Seoul officials also said North Korea sent more balloons, possibly filled with garbage, towards South Korea on Wednesday. Just a few days ago, South Korea retaliated by broadcasting propaganda messages related to North Korea on the border.
South Korea’s ‘Joint Chiefs of Staff’ said in a statement that balloons filled with garbage sent by North Korea crossed the border on Wednesday and were flying north of Seoul. They urged people to be cautious. Let us tell you that since May, North Korea has released more than 2,000 balloons towards South Korea which were filled with waste paper, pieces of cloth, cigarette butts and cow dung.
