A bright moment of IIT Ropar’s convocation has gone viral, viewed more than 17 million times a day and won the heart on social media. Now the famous clip captures a bizarre exchange between a graduate student and a professor that divided the crowd.
In the video, a student named Karthik is seen walking to collect his degree. As he pose for a picture, he turns to the professor next to him and asks Chiku if he can wear sunglasses for the photo. Professors, happy, easily agree. Karthik then said, “Sir has also brought you (Sir, I also have a pair for you),” inspiring the professor to smile and respond, “Lao (give me).”
Without remembering a beet, professor swaps his regular glasses for shades and creates a currency with the student, attracts cheers and laughter from the audience.
