According to the SIAM report, an increase of 25 percent has been recorded in vehicle sales across the country during April 2024. About 21 lakh vehicles were sold in the last month. Among these, the highest growth has been recorded in the two-wheeler segment. After this, sales of three wheelers have come in the passenger vehicle segment and at the third position.
Slight increase in car sales
According to SIAM, the month of April this year has been better for vehicle sales as compared to last year. There has been an increase in sales during this period. According to SIAM, car sales have increased by 1.3 percent in April this year compared to last year. In the two-wheeler segment, a growth of more than 30 percent has been recorded on year on year basis.
How were the sales in April?
According to the report released by SIAM, a total of 20,88,274 units of vehicles were sold across the country during the month of April. These include 3,35,629 units of passenger vehicles, 17,51,393 units of two-wheelers and 49,116 units of three-wheelers. On year on year basis, during April 2023, 3,31,278 units of vehicles were sold in the passenger vehicle segment, 13,38,588 units in the two-wheeler segment and 42,885 units of vehicles were sold in the three-wheeler segment.
