Shares of liquor manufacturing company are booming, doubled in last month itself

New Delhi. Shares of Piccadilly Agro Industries, a company that produces single malt whiskey under the brand name ‘Indri’, have created a stir in Dalal Street. This stock has been hitting the upper circuit continuously for the last 12 trading sessions. In the last one month, this multibagger share has given a good return of 100 percent. At the same time, in the fourth quarter of the company’s financial year 2024, there has been a huge jump of 819 percent in the company’s consolidated profit on an annual basis. At the end of March, the share price of Piccadilly Agro was Rs 301.95, which increased to Rs 667.25 on April 30.

In the financial year 2024, the overall net profit of the company increased by 391 percent to around Rs 110 crore which was Rs 22.33 crore in the last financial year. Similarly, the net sales of Piccadilly Agro also increased by 31.37 percent on annual basis to Rs 823.25 crore. The company has said that its board of directors has planned to raise Rs 1,000 crore by selling preference shares or shares to qualified institutional investors.

Got the title of best whiskey
The company claims that recently ‘Indri’ whiskey has received the title of the world’s best single malt whiskey. Since this award, the demand for this whiskey has increased significantly in the market. Its direct impact is being seen on the shares of Piccadilly Agro. The company plans to increase its participation in the mall space not only in India but also abroad.

The company is going to open a distillery in Scotland. The company claims to have sold more than 100,000 cases (9 liters per case) of the ‘Indri’ brand in FY24. With this achievement, ‘Indri’ became the ‘fastest growing single malt whiskey in the world’. According to Piccadilly Agro Industries, it was the largest exporter of Indian single malt whiskey in FY 2024 and its share in total exports was 35 percent.

1300 times return in 1 year
The shares of Piccadilly Agro Industries have made investors rich. A year ago the price of this share was Rs 47.35. Now it has increased to Rs 667.25. This means that in just 12 months this stock has given a huge profit of 1309 percent to the investors. In the year 2024, the price of this multibagger share has increased by 145 percent, while in six months Piccadilly Agro share has given 200 percent return to the investors.

According to Nuvama Institutional Equity, India is the fastest growing alcohol market in the world. In terms of volume, India is the third largest market for liquor after America and China. Nuvama estimates that by the year 2025, 39 percent of India’s total population will be consuming Lal Pari. Whiskey is consumed the most in India, followed by beer and liquor.
