The Supreme Court to hear petitions on NEET-PG 2025 transparency and evaluation concerns on 3 August.
The Supreme Court on Monday determined several petitions to raise concerns over transparency in the NEET-PG examination process on Monday, especially about the disclosure of answer key and evaluation methods. A bench met Vinod Chandran and NV Anjaria of Justice briefly took matters to consider.
One of the petitions filed through advocate Tanvi Dubey challenges the lack of clarity in the evaluation process and wants several guidelines for the National Board of Examination (NBE) responsible for taking NEET-PG exam.
The petition demands the issuance of question papers and the same answer key to the candidates, as well as which questions were marked correctly or wrong during the evaluation.
It also requests a mechanism for recurrence or revaluation in cases where candidates suspect scoring errors.
Additionally, the petition seeks provisions allowing students to enhance the disputed questions or answers against disputed questions or answers and calls for the installation of a transparent and accountable assessment structure for the current and future NEET-PG exams.
The petition has been highlighted that the current opaque system relies in the reliability of the examination and violates the rights of the candidates.
