Expelled Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam has said that the ‘real kingpin’ of the ‘Khichdi’ scam in Maharashtra is Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray) leader Sanjay Raut. Earlier, Nirupam had also targeted Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Amol Kirtikar after he was declared India Bloc candidate from Mumbai North West seat for the Lok Sabha elections. “When I started working on this scam, I came to know that the ‘kingpin’ was someone else. The kingpin in this entire scam is Shiv Sena (UBT) spokesperson, Sanjay Raut…,” Sanjay Nirupam, who was expelled Was given six years by Congress, the news was quoted by ANI.

“Sanjay Raut’s family and his friends took 1 crore as commission. ..They have taken bribe through checks in the name of his daughter Vidhita Sanjay Raut, who herself is innocent and unaware of these things…” Nirupam said.
On Kirtikar being summoned by the central agency, Nirupam said, “I don’t know what the ED does after questioning, but action must be taken against him.” “All the people of the North-West district should know how dishonest their potential candidate is.”
