New Delhi. Chennai-based electric vehicle startup Raptee.HV has launched its first high-voltage electric bike Raptee.HV T30 on October 14. The company claims that this bike can cover a distance of up to 200 kilometers on full charge. It has been introduced in two variants – T30 and T30 Sport, the starting price of which is Rs 2.39 lakh.
Raptee.HV T30 has been designed to challenge conventional petrol bikes of 250-300cc. Apart from this, this electric bike will also compete with electric bikes like Torque Kratos and Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2. Deliveries of the EV are expected to begin in Chennai and Bengaluru from January 2025, with plans to expand to other cities thereafter. Design and features
The design of Raptee.HV T30 has sharp lines, diamond-shaped headlight and split-seat setup. Along with this, the bike has a 7-inch touchscreen display, which supports Bluetooth connectivity, GPS navigation and over-the-air (OTA) updates. This bike will be available in four color options – Arctic White, Eclipse Black, Mercury Gray and Horizon Red.
Battery and range
A 22 kW electric motor has been installed in this electric bike, which generates a torque of 70 Nm. The bike can accelerate from 0 to 60 kmph in 3.5 seconds and its top speed is 135 kmph. It has three riding modes – Comfort, Power and Sprint. The bike has a 5.4 kWh battery pack, which gives an actual range of 150 kilometers and an IDC range of 200 kilometers on a full charge.
Charging and suspension
The Raptee.HV T30 supports high-voltage CCS2 charging, which is the charger used in electric cars. With this, the bike can be easily charged at more than 13,500 charging stations available in India. For better riding experience, the bike has USD front forks and rear monoshock suspension, which is adjustable.
With the Raptee.HV T30, the electric bike segment in the Indian market is likely to take a new direction, offering eco-friendly and impressive performance.
