Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to launch another campaign campaign in western Uttar Pradesh with rallies and road shows starting from April 19 – the day when 102 parliamentary constituencies go to polls in the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections 2024.
The Prime Minister has already addressed three rallies in western Uttar Pradesh, in Meerut, Saharanpur and Pilibhit. In the first phase, voting is being held on eight seats in Western Uttar Pradesh on Friday. These include Saharanpur, Bijnor, Kairana, Muzaffarnagar, Nagina, Moradabad, Rampur and Pilibhit.
The PM is scheduled to address a rally in Amroha in western Uttar Pradesh on Friday. Amroha, where voting will take place in the second phase on April 26, is one of the 16 parliamentary seats that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) lost in the 2019 general elections.
Kunwar Danish Ali, who won the seat on BSP ticket in 2019, is contesting from the same seat again in 2024 as a Congress-SP candidate. Bharatiya Janata Party has fielded Devendra Nagpal from this seat.

A day after PM Modi’s rally, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav are scheduled to be present during India Bloc’s election campaign in Amroha on April 20.
After Amroha, the Prime Minister is scheduled to address rallies in Hathras and Aligarh Lok Sabha constituencies on April 22. BJP won both the seats in 2019. The saffron party has fielded Anoop from Hathras in place of sitting Member of Parliament Rajveer Singh Diler. From Valmiki seat. Aligarh’s current MP Satish Gautam is also contesting elections in 2024.
After Hathras and Aligarh rallies, PM Modi will hold public meetings in Agra and Fatehpur Sikri on April 25. BJP candidate SP Singh Baghel is the sitting MP from Agra and Union Minister of State. BJP has fielded sitting MP Rajkumar Chahar from Fatehpur Sikri.

PM Modi is also scheduled to address rallies in Bareilly, Amla and Shahjahanpur on April 25. The BJP faced discontent in Bareilly after the party refused to give Lok Sabha ticket to former minister and sitting Bareilly MP Santosh Gangwar. Gangwar had resigned from the post of Union Labor Minister before the Lok Sabha elections.
Earlier this month, supporters of Kurmi leader Santosh Gangwar, who was allegedly insulted by Bareilly Mayor Umesh Gautam, protested outside the house of BJP state president Bhupendra Chaudhary over the “insult”.
