Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a series of bilateral meetings with his global counterparts at the margins of the G7 Summit here, focusing on several issues such as trade, investment, anti-terrorism and global challenges with discussion.
The MODI, who is here to attend the G7 summit, said on Tuesday that he had a “very good meeting” with South Korean President Lee J-Mung and the two countries want to work together in areas such as commerce, investment, technology, green hydrogen, ship construction and more.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal said on X that the two leaders “traded and confirmed India-South Korea to deepen special strategic partnerships by searching for a new path for cooperation through the areas of trade and economy, important and emerging technologies, green hydrogen, shipbuilding, culture and P2P.”
Modi also met Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, who said that Italy and India are associated with a great friendship. “PM Giorgia Meloni fully agrees with you. India’s friendship with Italy will continue to be strong, our people will benefit greatly!” Modi said on X.
He also met with Mexico President Claudia Shinbam Pardo and shared approaches on major global and regional issues including global South priorities.
Modi was first welcomed by his Canadian counterpart Mark Carney as he arrived here for the G7 Outreach season.
