According to several reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah will speak on July 29 during a special debate on Operation Sindoor in the Lok Sabha.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday launched a special discussion on India’s military response ‘Operation Sindoor’ for the Pahgam terror attack in the Lok Sabha. The debate is expected to continue till midnight on Monday and resume on Tuesday at 11 am.
A NDTV report said that PM Modi will speak on Tuesday evening, a report in the Times said that he will speak between 5 pm and 6 pm on Tuesday. On April 22, twenty-six citizens were killed in a terrorist attack in Pahgam in Jammu and Kashmir, after which India retaliated through accurate attacks under Operation Sindoor, targeted terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-Kabje Kashmir (POK).
Earlier on Monday, the Congress said that Home Minister Amit Shah should take responsibility for “security laps”, which allowed the Pahalgam terrorist attack, while asked the Center to clarify how many Indian jets were dropped during Operation Sindoor and “before Prime Minister Narendra Modi to stop military action against Pakistan”.
Gaurav Gogoi, Deputy Leader of the Congress in the House, said that according to the government, it was not intended to capture the area. He asked the government why it was not, as “if not today, when will we return Pakistan -occupied Kashmir”?
Gogoi made the government “26 times” on US President Donald Trump’s claim that he used trade to bring a ceasefire between India and Pakistan.
‘Humne ghar mein ghus ke mara’
The Congress leader said that since the attack of Prime Minister Narendra Modi Uri and Pulwama, they have been saying that “Humne Ghar Meen Ghin Mara”, “We have destroyed the terrorist infrastructure” and are still making the same comments.
“They are still saying that the operation vermilion is incomplete and Pakistan can do it again. Then how is this a success? They themselves are saying that our intention was not to war. Why was it not so?
He said that the opposition wants to know from Modi that if Pakistan was ready to kneel before India, then “Why did you stay and before you surrendered”?
“Trump has claimed 26 times that he has used the danger of trade to bring a ceasefire between India and Pakistan. He says that five to six jets have been dropped. A jet is of crores and crores of (rupees). That is why we want to know the Defense Minister, we should dare to hear the truth, he said how many fighters said.”
He said, “This information, this truth, is not only for Indian citizens, it is important for soldiers, they are also being lied.”
Gogoi said that “there are only 35 Rafale Fighter Jets” in the country and if some have been dropped, “this is a big loss”.
Referring to a statement by Chief of Defense Staff General Anil Chauhan, he commented, who said in an interview that India corrected its strategy and hit deeply inside the Pakistani region after the damage during Operation Sindoor.
Referring to Singh’s speech, Gogoi said that he gave a lot of information, but did not say how the terrorists came to Pahgam.
“The country wants to know … 100 days have passed, but this government has not given justice to the terrorists,” he said.
The Home Minister kept saying that the backbone of terrorism has been broken, but the incidents of Uri, Balakot and Pahalgam have still happened, they said.
The Congress leader said, “Who will take responsibility, (Jammu and Kashmir) LG?
Since the onset of the monsoon session on July 21, Parliament has seen a continuous adjournment on the demand of the opposition of a debate on the issues of public importance, which includes the Gastali Pahgam terror attack and the ongoing head exercises being carried out by the Election Commission in Bihar.
The opposition has also demanded that PM Modi responded to the claims repeated by US President Donald Trump to start a “ceasefire” between India and Pakistan after Operation Sindoor.
The first week of the monsoon session of Parliament was marked by major disruptions, including the resignation of Jagdeep Dhikra as vice -president.
When will we withdraw Pakistan-Quiz Kashmir? If not today, when?
