New Delhi: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is trying to become ‘Chaudhary’ once again. But this time a Muslim leader of India has given a befitting reply to him. Erdogan recently said that Turkey has intensively interacted with Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif on the Kashmir issue and he wants ‘human rights based solutions’ with the help of international organizations on this issue. He even said that if needed, Turkish is also ready to play the role of an arbitrator. AIMIM chief and MP Asaduddin Owaisi gave a befitting reply to Turkey, saying that 22 crore Muslims live in India, which are more than Pakistan. Describing Pakistan as a contractor of Muslims is a false ease.
Owaisi said, ‘Turkey should think before supporting Pakistan. Historical relations between India and Türkiye are very deep. People from Hyderabad and Rampur princely states had deposited money in Isbank, Turkey. Turkish language was taught in Ladakh till 1990. Has Türkiye forgotten these things? ‘
‘Respect the Muslims of India’
Owaisi further said that by 1920, Haj pilgrims of the northern part of Türkiye used to go to Mumbai via Ladakh. ‘We want to remind Turkey that 220 million respected Muslims live in India. Pakistan has nothing to do with Islam. Turkey should respect the Muslims of India.
