Railway Recruitment Cell, Northern Railway, is accepting applications for Trainee posts. Eligible candidates can apply for a total of 4116 posts on the official website rrcnr.org. The last date to apply for Northern Railway Apprentice Recruitment 2025 is 24th December. It is advised that candidates do not wait till the last moment to submit their applications.
Eligibility Criteria for Northern Railway Apprentice Recruitment 2025:
Candidates must have successfully completed SSC/Matriculation/10th class examination or its equivalent examination under 10+2 examination system from a recognized Board with at least 50% marks. Additionally, they must have passed ITI in the relevant trade issued by NCVT/SCVT recognized by the Government of India. The age limit for applicants is between 15 to 24 years as on December 24, 2025.
All candidates except SC/ST/PWBD/Women will have to pay an application fee of Rs 100. Fee cannot be paid in the form of cash, cheque, money order, IPO, demand draft or Central Recruitment Fee Stamps.
RRC/NR is not responsible for incomplete or pending online application fee transactions. In such cases, candidates will have to complete a fresh transaction. Any transaction charges for online payment will be the responsibility of the candidates. After successful transaction, an e-receipt will be generated with the entered data of the candidate, which should be printed and kept for future reference.
Selection Process for Northern Railway Apprentice Recruitment 2025:
Selection will be based on the merit list prepared on the basis of average percentage of marks obtained in Matriculation/SSC/10th (with minimum 50% aggregate marks) and ITI examinations with equal weightage given to both.
In case of a tie, preference will be given to the older candidate. If the date of birth is the same, the candidate who has passed the matriculation examination first will be considered first. A final merit list will be prepared by Cluster, Trade and Community in descending order of percentage of marks obtained in SSC/Matriculation/10th and ITI.
