NLSAT 2026 registration is now open at nls.ac.in. The entrance examination for LLB, BA, MPP and PhD programs will be conducted on April 26 in offline mode.

Registration for the National Law School Admission Test (NLSAT 2026) has officially started on the website of National Law School of India University (NLSIU) Bengaluru at nls.ac.in. Candidates can fill the application form till 23 March 2026.
The entrance test will be conducted in a nationwide session on April 26, 2026, from 10 am to 12:30 pm.
Students can apply for a number of programs offered by NLSIU, including the 3-year LLB (Hons), NLS BA (Hons), 2-year Master in Public Policy and PhD programs in Law, Public Policy, Social Sciences and Humanities.
This year, NLSAT will be conducted in pen-and-paper mode with a total duration of 150 minutes. The question paper is divided into two sections.
- Part A consists of comprehension sections, questions from current affairs and critical reasoning covering both legal and logical reasoning.
- Part B tests legal aptitude, legal reasoning and analytical ability.
The registration fee for general category candidates is Rs 2,500, while all other categories of applicants will have to pay Rs 2,000. As per the marking scheme, candidates will get 1 mark for each correct answer, and 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong or unanswered question.
For the 3-year LLB (Hons.) course, NLSIU has set the admission at 120 seats for the academic year 2026-27. Admission will be given only on the basis of performance in the entrance examination.
