New Delhi: Streaming service Netflix on Tuesday announced the second season of its critically-acclaimed crime thriller series “Koh”.
Actor Barun Sobti will return alongside Mona Singh for the second chapter in the Punjab-set police procedural show, which launches in July 2023 with its smash hit first season.
The new season will be directed by showrunners, creators and co-creators Sudip Sharma and Faisal Rehman. It will be produced by Act Three Productions and Film Squad Productions, Netflix said in a statement.
The second season will see Sharma make his debut as a producer and director through Act Three Productions.
“ Kohra is more than a show to us – it’s a piece of our hearts. We’ve put everything we have into this story, and seeing the love it has received has made us incredibly emotional.

The second season will feature another murder mystery with family dynamics, interpersonal secrets and the backdrop of foggy Punjab.
Sobati will reprise her role in the first season as Garundi, a young police officer who investigates a suspicious crime while grappling with her personal dreams and dilemmas.
Details about Singh’s character have been kept under wraps.
“Kohra” was well received by audiences as well as critics, who particularly noted actor Suvinder Vicky’s performance as the tormented sub-inspector Balbir Singh, who is battling his personal enemies while solving the murder of an NRI groom.
Gunjeet Chopra and Diggi Sisodiya are the co-producers of “Kohra”, which is also produced by Saurabh Malhotra, Manuj Mitra and Tina Tharwani.
