The National Medical Commission of India on Tuesday unveiled the syllabus for NEET-UG 2025 – which covers the core subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The Board of Undergraduate Medical Education has also issued an advisory urging candidates to refer to the updated syllabus while preparing for the upcoming academic session.
Meanwhile, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Tuesday announced that efforts are currently underway to “restructure” the National Testing Agency. NTA will also stop conducting recruitment exams from next year – focusing exclusively on entrance exams for higher education institutions. This restructuring is based on the recommendations of a high-level committee formed after the NEET-Graduate exam paper leak.
The NEET-UG exam is currently conducted offline – in pen and paper mode – in which students solve multiple-choice questions on OMR sheets. Pradhan, however, indicated that discussions are underway on whether the medical entrance exam should be conducted through online mode next year.
