NMC will declare NEET PG Result 2024 by July 15 as per the updated deadline. The recent NMC notification states that the internship deadline is still applicable
National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test – Examination Date for Post Graduate (NEET PG) 2024 has been postponed to June 23 by the National Medical Commission (NMC). The National Medical Commission called a meeting with the Medical Counseling Committee, Post Graduate Medical Education Board (PGMEB), Directorate General of Health Sciences (DGHS) and National Board of Examination for Medical Sciences (NBEMS) to reach this conclusion.
That being said, the latest NMC notification states that the internship deadline is still in effect.
The examination was originally scheduled for 3 March, but was moved to 7 July after the Commission received several representations from prospective applicants. NMC will declare NEET PG Result 2024 by July 15 as per the updated deadline. On the other hand, NMC has now said that NEET PG counseling will start from August 5 and will continue till August 10.

Qualifying the NEET PG entrance exam is a prerequisite for enrollment into MD, MS or postgraduate diploma programs in the country. Based on previous years’ trends, the NEET PG 2024 test paper will be of 800 marks. There will be a total of 200 multiple choice questions in the exam. In NEET PG 2024, applicants will get 4 marks for each correct answer and 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. Responses marked for review are evaluated according to correctness, and there is no negative marking on unanswered questions.

Meanwhile, despite students petitioning and requesting the Supreme Court to postpone the Dental Medical Entrance Exam, the NEET MDS exam 2024 was held on March 18. The candidates expressed primary concern regarding the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) conducting a common counseling session for NEET PG and PG Dental and said that the MDS candidates will have to wait till the completion of NEET PG examination and internship.
