Police on Wednesday found hanging from a sealing fan at their guest (PG) residence in Kota, Rajasthan.
The students, known as Lucky Chaudhary, were originally from Patna, Bihar, and were living in Kota for the last two years preparing for NEET exam online. His PG was located under the jurisdiction of Vigyan Nagar Police Station in Sector -2.
Circle Inspector Mukesh Meena said that the door of the room was bolt inside two places. He said, “We have not received any indication to play dishonesty at this level.” However, no suicide note was recovered, and Lucky’s mobile phone and wallet were also missing from the room.
Police also confirmed that another student from Bihar, who was living in the next room in the same PG, has gone missing since the incident.
Lucky’s mother’s uncle, Koshal Kumar Chaudhary, accused the foul play and said that Lucky was not a person who would take his life. He also pointed out doubts towards a youth named Rahul from Patna, often known for his lucky journey and is currently missing.
Lucky’s father also doubted the nature of his son’s death. He alleged that Rahul, who was not a student, visited the PG room with his girlfriend. He further revealed that Lucky had recently borrowed Rs 40,000 and shared with his sister that he was under pressure to repay the amount.
According to the family, Rs 10,000 was already sent lucky, and the remaining amount was to be transferred soon.
ASI Lal Singh confirmed that the body was handed over to the family on Thursday after the post -mortem examination.
He said that a case has been registered under Section 194 of the Indian Municipal Surka Code (BNSS), and further investigation is on.
