Opposition parties accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of not answering their questions, which belonged to the claims of Pahgam’s “intelligence failure” and the “ceasefire” of US President Donald Trump, while speaking at the Thalok Sabha during a debate on Operation Sindoor on Tuesday.
Responding to the debate, PM Narendra Modi confirmed that no leader from any country had asked India to stop Operation Sindoor, who was still giving “sleep nights” to the mastermind of the Pahalgam attack.
To do this, Modi reiterated the claims of the ‘conflict’ after four days of military action during Operation Sindoor in May this year to do so. Narendra Modi said that he had actually told US vice -president JD Vance on the night of May that Pakistan would pay dearly for any attack on India.
Soon after Modi’s 100 -minute long speech in Lok Sabha, President Trump reiterated his claim, called India his ‘friend’,
“Yes, I feel so. India is my friend. They ended the war with Pakistan at my request … The deal with India is not final. India has been a good friend, but India has basically charged more tariffs than almost any other country,” Trump said that when is going to pay high tariffs in India, it was asked between 20-25 percent.
Did the protest say?
However, opposition leaders said that the Prime Minister did not clearly deny the claim of peace between India and Pakistan. Congress leader Pawan Khera said that he has not received a single reply.
“We were asking for a discussion because both we and the country wanted answers. We did not get a single reply,” Khera told PTI video.
He said, “The simple question is how Pahgam happened, how the terrorists managed to go to India, and attacked our citizens, our tourists. No response,” he said.
Khera said, “Why the declaration of ceasefire came from America? This is a question for which we have not received the answer.”
Samajwadi Party chief and Lok Sabha MP Akhilesh Yadav said in a clear context of China that the Government of India cannot see the real threat, even if he did not name the country. In his earlier speech in the Lok Sabha, Yadav compared any threat of terrorism to China’s’ Through to India.
The former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister said, “They are unable to see the real threat, who are standing behind Pakistan. If they cannot see the real threat despite being in the government, what can be done …” The former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh said.
Trinmool Congress MP Sagarika Ghosh said that the speech was “dramatic”, but failed to answer the questions. “Generally the dramatic speech by the Prime Minister. He failed to answer the opposition’s questions. The first question about intelligence and safety failure due to a terrorist attack in Pahgam.”
“Second, why is India’s diplomatic outreach failed to achieve the desired results? Third, President Trump repeatedly took credit for the India-Pakistan ceasefire, and added it to commerce, to the business deal,” he said.
‘Specific Nehru Kosane’
Ghosh said that the Prime Minister failed to answer these questions. “We were all typical theater and drama, and the typical Nehru cursing,” he said.
He also said that PM Narendra Modi should publicly say that President Trump is “not telling the truth”. “Prime Minister has failed to compete with President Trump,” he said.
Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi said that PM Modi tried to take full credit for Operation Sindoor.
He said, “In his two -hour speech, Prime Minister Modi tried to take full credit for Operation Sindoor. At the beginning of the speech, he said that the people of the country supported him. He is wrong, the people of the country fully supported the government and the Indian Army,” he said that the Prime Minister did not mention China even once in his speech.
Congress MP KC Venugopal said that there was nothing new in whatever the Prime Minister said. He said, “Amit Shah has been repeated by the Prime Minister this morning. There was nothing else.”
