Starring Song Kang as Jang Gu Won and Kim Yoo Jung as Do Do Hee, My Demon comes across as a supernatural romantic drama. The story follows a 200-year-old demon who despises humans and dislikes them, but unexpectedly falls in love with Doo Doo Hee, a rich and cold-hearted CEO. Do Do Hee, an heiress who lost her parents early on, is welcomed by her parents’ close friend Joo Cheon Suk, played by Kim Hae Suk. When Jang Gu Won encounters Do Do Hee, an unexpected turn of events occurs, causing him to lose all his strength. Their unconventional situation leads to contract marriage.

Both Jang Gu Won and Do Do Hee work tirelessly day and night to uncover the truth behind Ms. Joo’s murder, with suspicion pointing towards Ms. Joo’s eldest son, Noah Seok Min. However, when Doo Doo Hee confronts him, he discovers something unexpected. Noh Seok Min reveals that Madam Joo killed her parents, and to atone for her sins, she repeatedly goes to church to confess. Additionally, Jang Gu Won manages to convince Kim Sa Ra, Noah Seok Min’s wife, to confess to the police that Noah Seok Min murdered his own mother, and she agrees. In a dramatic turn of events, Noh Seok Min, on the verge of losing everything, jumps off a tower in the presence of Jang Gu Won and Do Do Hee.

The next day, Doo Doo Hee visits the church to investigate Madam Joo’s confession, but learns that she saw a devil on the night of the accident and confessed to it in the church. The priest tells Do Do Hee that Jang Gu Won was the devil that Madam Joo saw that night, and he made a deal with her parents, leading to their deaths. Devastated, Doo Doo Hee attempts to uncover the truth but ends up having to see her husband in his true demonic form.
Did Jung Gu Won kill Do Do Hee’s parents?
Episode 14 of My Demon ended with Song Kang dumping Kim Yoo Jung before Christmas and leaving her in tears. However, it appears that Song Kang’s character may not be the only reason behind the death of Kim Yoo Jung’s character’s parents. It seems that the demon made a pact with Doo Doo Hee’s parents long ago to protect her life. Fans also noted that the unsolved mystery of Noah Seok Min’s missing body is set to reveal more layers to the story.
Has Do Do Hee lost Jung Gu Won forever?
Although this episode left fans confused, they need not despair, as there are two more episodes left before reaching the finale. Many misunderstandings between the main characters are still to be resolved, and the real villain responsible for the death of Doo Doo Hee’s parents is still to be revealed. While fans may be a little disappointed, there is also reason to be happy, as it looks like the series is headed for a happy ending.
