After sowing the seeds, you will have to keep the field filled with water continuously for 2 months, so that moisture and mud remain which makes it easier for the lotus plant to grow.

You can easily get two crops in a year
It is not that lotus can be cultivated only in a particular season. Once the crop is ready, i.e. it takes about 5 months for the flowers to develop. In this regard, you can cultivate lotus twice in a year. If you sow lotus seeds in the month of June, your crop will be ready by October. Similarly, if you sow the seeds again in December, the flowers will be ready to be plucked again in May.
