IAS Dipesh Kumari completed MBM Engineering College, Jodhpur from B.Tech in Civil Engineering and M.Tech from IIT Bombay.

Govind Kumar, a resident of Kankar Wali Kuia in Atal Bandi area of Bharatpur, Rajasthan, has been selling Pakoda on the road for 25 years to support his family of seven. As the only breadwinner, he ensured that five of his children get a good education despite being in a small room. Even after his daughter, Deepesh Kumari, he became an IAS officer, continuing his pakoda business.
In 2021, after passing the UPSC Civil Service Examination, Deepesh Kumari became a role model for her younger brothers and sisters, inspiring her to make an ambitious career. She became an IAS officer, a sister became a doctor, and two other brothers -Bahn are studying MBBS. While her younger sister became a doctor at Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi, her two brothers are studying MBBS – one from Latur and the other from AIMS Guwahati. This family has demonstrated that strong determination can overcome any obstacle.
Dipesh Kumari, the eldest of the five brothers and sisters, performed academically from an early age. He attended Sheshu Adarsh Vidya Mandir, scored 98 percent in class 10 and 89 percent in 12th standard. He then completed BTech in Civil Engineering from MBM Engineering College, Jodhpur and M.Tech from IIT Bombay. After working in a private company for a year, he resigned to prepare for the UPSC exam.

Although Deepesh failed his first UPSC attempt in 2020, it remained with even more dedication. Using his savings from his job, he prepared for UPSC Civil Service Examination in Delhi. In his second attempt in 2021, his hard work was paid on securing All India 93rd rank, which was selected as an IAS officer. He also achieved rank 4 in the EWS category.
After completing his IAS training, Deepesh Kumari was allotted Jharkhand cadre. He is currently posted as an assistant secretary in the Department of Road Transport and Highways.
