Mega parent-teacher meeting will be organized in all primary and upper-primary government schools across Punjab.
Over 20 lakh parents of students from around 20,000 government schools are expected to attend a mega parent-teacher meeting (PTA) in Punjab on Tuesday, state Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains said on Monday.
Bains said, PTM will facilitate meaningful dialogue between teachers and parents, enabling them to share feedback about students’ academic progress, their behavioral patterns and overall development inside and outside the school environment.
The minister said the extensive exercise will be conducted in all primary and upper-primary government schools across the state, in which teachers will share the September exam results with parents and discuss individual performance.
He said that parents will get an opportunity to evaluate the facilities in the schools and express their concerns and suggestions regarding the education of their children.
The Minister invited parents to witness first-hand the transformational changes implemented in the state’s education system, including the introduction of campus managers, advanced security measures, modernized classrooms and laboratories, state-of-the-art playgrounds, transport services and prestigious . ‘School of Eminence’ Programme.
Bains said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is going to participate in this mega event.
