Aspiring engineers often dream of studying in prestigious institutions like the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), and qualifying the highly competitive JEE exam is required for admission. Although it is considered to be one of the toughest exams in the world, many students not only crack the exam but also achieve top ranks. One such success story is that of Parth Laturia, who achieved All India Rank (AIR) 3 by scoring an impressive 350 marks out of 360 in the JEE exam.
Parth is a resident of Nanded, Maharashtra. She excelled academically from a young age, achieving a 10.0 GPA in her Class 10 exams from Gyan Mata Vidya Vihar in 2016. Later, she completed her class 12 education at Disha Delphi Public School, Kota, scoring 95.2%. His hard work and dedication helped him score full marks in Mathematics and 115 out of 120 in Physics and Chemistry in the JEE exam.
After clearing JEE, Parth joined IIT Bombay, where he obtained a B.Tech degree in Computer Science. After his graduation, he completed his master’s degree in Financial Mathematics from Princeton University, USA. Parth attributes his success to the constant guidance and daily revision of his teachers, which helped him understand the concepts better. Apart from attending coaching classes, he used to devote 5 to 6 hours every day to self study.
Parth’s parents, Satish and Seema Laturia, both doctors, were instrumental in supporting him throughout his journey. His father is a general practitioner, while his mother is a pediatrician.
While studying at IIT Bombay, Parth also gained valuable experience through internships. He worked as a data science intern at Bank of Baroda and later as a research intern at Indiana University Bloomington. After graduation, he joined the fixed income deposit division of Morgan Stanley as an associate and now works as a senior associate at the company.
Another notable achiever from Maharashtra is Nitish Totla, who secured second rank in JEE in 2008 and received the IIT Bombay Academic Excellence Award. He also won the National Gold Medal in Chemistry Olympiad.
