Worshiping Lord Sun on the day of Pisces Sankranti is considered auspicious. On the auspicious day, devotees should bathe in holy rivers, worship the Sun God and donate as per their capacity. On this day, people perform various religious activities like Havan and Yagya, offer prayers and take a holy dip in the river Ganga.
