Bihar School Examination Board, BSEB organized ‘Medha Diwas 2024’ on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at Gyan Bhawan, Samrat Ashok Convention Centre, Patna. Education Minister Sunil Kumar, who was the chief guest, was present at the event. BSEB Chairman Anand Kishore and Education Department Secretary Vaidyanath Yadav.
During the program, the toppers of Intermediate and Matriculation Annual Examination, 2024 were awarded by the Education Minister and BSEB Chairman.
The awardees included 51 students who secured first 10 positions in Matriculation, and 24 students who secured first 5 positions in three divisions of the Intermediate section, namely Commerce, Arts and Science.
BSEB awarded Rs 1 lakh will be given to the students securing first position in Matriculation and Intermediate Annual Examination, 2024. 75 thousand more to the students who got second place Prize of Rs 50,000 for those securing third place.
moreover, Students who stood fourth to tenth in the matriculation examination were given Rs 10,000 each. Rs.15 thousand to the students who secured fourth and fifth position in Intermediate examination. The award winners were given laptops, certificates and medals.

Apart from this, 10 districts of the state were honored for their significant efforts in conducting the board examinations. These districts include Bhojpur, East Champaran, Darbhanga, Gaya, Madhubani, Muzaffarpur, Nalanda, Patna, Purnia and Vaishali.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Sunil Kumar congratulated all the meritorious students and urged them to continue climbing the ladder of success in future and also fulfill their duties to become better citizens of the country.
The Education Minister also praised BSEB for qualitative improvement.
BSEB Chairman Anand Kishore in his address congratulated the meritorious students and said that they have achieved this feat on the basis of their hard work, diligence and dedication.
The Chairman highlighted the sequence of qualitative reforms being undertaken by BSEB, and said that in the last year many new dimensions have been established and many works are being done which has resulted in bearing fruit in the examination and education philosophy of the State.
Speaking on some of the initiatives taken by BSEB, Kishore informed that many important examinations are being conducted at the newly inaugurated Bapu Examination Complex. Apart from this, the Board is also running free residential coaching in Patna and non-residential coaching in 9 divisional headquarters and districts of the state for the preparation of JEE, NEET and other competitive examinations, thereby benefiting the students.
Meanwhile, on the occasion, Sujan Pal Singh, CEO of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Center in New Delhi, delivered the Dr. Rajendra Prasad Memorial Lecture. In his address, Singh also appreciated the meritorious students and shared valuable tips to be successful in life.
The program concluded in a cultural atmosphere with presentations by students from various schools of Patna. For example, the students of Bankipur Government Girls High School presented on the topic ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’, while the students of Government Girls High School, Gulzarbagh presented on the topic ‘Different dimensions of women education and empowerment’.
