Maruti recalled 16 thousand cars, these 2 models are sold the most

New Delhi. The country’s largest car company Maruti Suzuki India has recalled 16 thousand cars due to engine failure. This includes two models of cars of the company and both these models are the best sellers. The company announced on Friday, March 22 that any customers who have these models should take them to their nearest service center and get the necessary repairs done.

According to the announcement issued by Maruti, this defect has occurred in Baleno and Wagon R model cars. There is a problem in the fuel pump motor of about 16 thousand cars of these two models. Due to this, there is a problem in starting the car. Apart from having difficulty in starting the engines of these cars, these cars also stop while moving. Therefore, the company has appealed to the owners of these cars to take them to the nearest service center and get the component replaced.

How many cars of which model?
According to Maruti, this problem has occurred in 11,851 Baleno cars, while 4,190 WagonR cars are facing this type of engine problem. Car owners do not have to bear the brunt of this and do not face any inconvenience, hence the faulty equipment can be replaced at the company’s service centre.

Complete change will be done for free
Maruti has said that the customers whose cars are facing this problem can go to the nearest service center and get the equipment replaced for free. There is no need to pay a single penny for this. The company has said that these cars were manufactured between July 30, 2019 and November 1, 2019. The company has said that the fuel pump motor of the engines of the cars manufactured during this period has malfunctioned. This may cause problems in starting the engine of some cars.

88 thousand cars were recalled last year
This is not the first time that Maruti has recalled its cars due to defects. Earlier in July, 2023, 87,599 cars were recalled. This included models like S-Presso and Eeco. The company had said that there was a defect in the steering rod of these cars manufactured between July 5, 2021 and February 15, 2023. However, in recent times, maximum number of cars have been recalled by Maruti.
