New Delhi. The popularity of Tata Punch is showing no sign of waning. This affordable SUV is being liked very much by the middle class families of India. Last month the sales of this mini SUV have increased by more than 65%. In terms of sales, it has left behind the big vehicles like Baleno, Dezire, Ertiga and Brezza. If we look at the sales of February 2024, Punch has sold 18,438 units, which is 65% more than the 11,169 units sold in February 2023.
Talking about sales, Maruti Baleno, which was on top in January, has slipped to third place in February. Last month, sales of Maruti Baleno were 17,517 units, which was 6% less than the sales of 18,592 units in February 2023. At the same time, sales of Dezire also decreased by 6 percent last month with 15,837 units. However, sales of Maruti Brezza stood at 15,765 units and there was a slight decline in the sales of this SUV as compared to 15,787 units sold in February 2023.

The best selling car in February 2024 was Maruti Wagon R with 19,412 units. Whose sales recorded a growth of 15 percent. Maruti Wagon R sold 16,889 units in February 2023. Whereas, a growth of 140% was recorded in the sales of Maruti’s 7 seater car Ertiga. Ertiga sold 15,519 units last month.

The price of Punch starts from Rs 6 lakh and goes up to Rs 9.52 lakh (ex-showroom). Tata Punch has a 1.2 liter 3 cylinder petrol engine. This engine generates maximum power of 88 bhp and peak torque of 115 Nm. It also has the option of 5-speed manual gearbox as well as 5-speed automatic gearbox. Tata Punch offers a mileage of 20.09kmpl in petrol and 26.99km/kg in CNG.
Talking about the features, Punch has features like 7-inch touchscreen display, semi-digital instrument panel, auto air conditioning, automatic headlights, connected car technology and cruise control. In terms of safety, it has features like dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear defogger, rear parking sensor, rear-view camera and ISOFIX anchor. Tata Punch has also received a 5-star safety rating in the Global NCAP crash test.
