Lenskart is going to launch its first AI Smart Glasses soon. This smart glass has been named B by Lenskart. The smart glasses will be powered by Gemini 2.5 Live AI features, UPI payment, health insights and Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 processor.
B by Lenskart may arrive later this year.Lenskart is now moving towards becoming not just an eyeglasses brand but a tech-lifestyle company. The company is preparing to launch its first AI-powered smart glasses by the end of December this year. Their name will be ‘B by Lenskart Smartglasses’, which are not only for vision but are going to give a new smart experience with features like AI, health and UPI payment.
Before the launch, the company has announced that it is opening this platform for Indian app developers. Now developers in India will be able to optimize their apps for these new B by Lenskart Smartglasses.
These smart glasses have the Gemini 2.5 Live AI model, which can perform many smart tasks in real-time, such as live translation, hands-free UPI payments, and natural human-like conversation. This means that these glasses will make your everyday life easier.
The company said that this device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 processor, which is specially designed for augmented reality and camera-based AI applications. The weight of these glasses is only 40 grams, which will make them very comfortable to wear for a long time.
An official of Lenskart said that by combining AI and commerce, we want to make glasses not just a thing to look at, but a medium of conversation and convenience.
Competition in Indian market
In India, these smart glasses will compete directly with Meta Smart Glasses, which are already in the news for their AI features and smooth performance. In such a situation, users will also expect the same performance from Lenskart.
At present the company has not disclosed the price, but it is expected that it will be kept in the mid-range price segment so that more people can buy it. This step of Lenskart is not only a big step towards innovation, but it can also give a new turn to India’s AI wearables market in the coming times.
